The best high torque impact wrench is the one you have. It’s not the most powerful or expensive or the highest rated, its the one in your hand. For me personally, it my 3/4 XWTO7Z Makita. A beast. More torque than I’ll ever need. My “everyday use around the house/garage” choice is my 12volt Ridgid impact driver which I use as an impact wrench.
Yea man …It’s funny everyone has there opinion and everyone has different favorite one…And the best part is you can make cases for every one …Yea I do the same thing I have a ridgid gen 5x impact I use for everything…Just sits on my work bench and it’s always ready to go …Thanks for commenting buddy
Hey Joe !!! …Yea you say that now until the a Flexvolt version comes out by Dewalt …Lolol..
Honestly all 3 are great , each has there advantages over the other one
lolol…you kno the dewalt was the first one High torque Impact of the 3 i got …and i loved it ..i didnt think there could possibly be a better one out there …then i got the milwaukee , ..though being more versitle then the milwaukee …the milwaukee out performed ..or at least in the tasks i used it for …now i got the makita and i like this one best …i think its pretty close to the milwaukee power wise …but heavier , but more versitle …its very hard to pick
I like my mid torque Ridgid Gen5X wrench as it handles anything I typically will need. As far as the big high torque units there are a lot of great ones out there and if I was a full time mechanic I’d probably be wanting the Makita unit as seen on the Tool Boss YouTube channel. That thing is just nice!
Hey Jim …yea i don’t know if a mechanic is gonna be able to do anything with the Makita besides lugs …its pretty big to fit anywhere …yes there’s extensions and what not …but shes pretty heavy also …she is however a powerful well balanced impact wrench for sure.
I love my ryobi tools but the 1/2 cordless impact of theirs sucks! Someday I hope they will come out with a better competing one.
Great live video yesterday!
Hey Snow …Thank you very much …Really I never heard anyone bitch about it …I don’t have the newer one the 261 but I have the 260
…I do have issues with it working on high torque stuff .. Something with battery but it is old and beat up
Hey there long time no talk!
I’d like to give a little update on my impact wrench.
I’ve been using it a little more and it seems the more I use it the stronger it is getting. Maybe some extra tight tolerances for something and it just needed a little break in period?
Anywho thanks for the great videos!
Well seeing the new Milwaukee high torque busting nuts left right and center, jeez Milwaukee wins. Its the lightest weight, shortest and most powerfull. But you shouldin’t always basse your decision mainly on these factores alone, if you are using it all day long and if it’s not comfortable, dosent matter if it has all these bells and wishels.
I think power wise it is the dewalt.

Maybe I got a bad one or something. It doesn’t seem much stronger than the regular 1/4″ impact driver.
